6 Month Well Baby

Eliana went to the Dr yesterday for a check up, shots, and a hearing test. It was a long morning, but she was very pleasant and I'm glad we got it all taken care of at once. So here are her stats.

4 months:
Weight:12lb 5oz
Height: 24 inches
Head: 40.1 cm

6 months:
14lb 2oz
25 3/4 inches
41.7 cm

She is in the 12% for weight, 33% for height, and 21% for her head circumference.

She did great with her shots. She cried for just a few minutes, she was done as soon as we left the room.

Then she had to go downstairs for her hearing test. She passed just fine, though it did take a few times the ear probe wasn't picking everything up. Eliana fell asleep during the tests so she was very still and very quite.

When we got home she took a good 2 1/2 hour nap, but has since been a little feverish and cranky :( She didn't sleep well at all last night because of it (and because it was chilly dropped down into the 50s overnight, she doesn't like the cold), but she is taking good naps today and seems a little happier :)

A Day in the Life of Eliana: 6 months!

I have a lot of blogging to catch up on, but I need to start with Eliana's day for Grandparents.

6 months! Half a year! Our little girl is growig up so fast. New this month, she is starting to figure out how to move to get that toy she wants over there. She is eating 3-4 solid meals a day and loves everything we give her, except peas...yuck. She can sit up by herself if she is balanced just right, but she can hold herself in a sitting postion using her hands and she can also pull herself into sitting up from having her torso flat on her feet in front of her. Shehas gotten way better at standing too. She can hold onto something, mom, dad, coffee table, pew at church...you get the idea, and stand there for quite some time. She is as talkative as ever, she can say ma ma and da da (not that she uses them to call who she wants, they are just noises) ba ba and clicks her tounge, but her favorite is her gurrgle/growl aka her girly growl. She loves playing both with mom or dad and by herself. I finally switched her into her 6m clothes just 3 days before her 6m b-day, not because her 3m were too small, but because I was tired of them and wanted new clothes.

This weekend wasn't just her 6 month birthday, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit too, making this an extra special Day in the Life of Eliana...don't worry Grandmommy and Grandaddy will be here for her 7 month!

6:30 With Grandma and Grandpa sleepig in m room I'm sleeping in mom and dad's closet in the play pen...this was a first and so I of course woke up a lot at night and decided it was time to play early.
This picture is actually from Sunday morning

7:00 Breakfast! Grandma fed me Barley and Pears. I love pears

7:30 Play time
Playing with the quilt ball Auntie Patty made for me.
The flash on Grandma's camera surprises me a lot

9:00 Nap time and I slept so well, I slept for 2 hours

11:00 Grandpa was watching football when I got up from my nap, so I watched my first football game ever. I liked it there was lots of red.

Football is pretty

12:00 Grandma fed me lunch too. I had Carrots.

1:00 I'm learning to drink from a cup. I like it a lot. Mommy tries to get me to drink it sitting up, but since I'm not great at sitting up yet I prefer to lay down.

2:00 I was ready for another nap. This time I slept till 5:00.

5:00 When I got up it was time to change clothes and go out to dinner. I got to wear a new outfit from Aunt Becky so Grandma took a few pics to show it off.
Bear Butt

I can blow bubbles!

5:30 Dinner at the restaurant. Mom brought me sweet potatoes, which I gobbled right up and I tried a little of Grandma's potatoes.
Playing after my dinner while everyone else waited for theirs

Playing in the mirror by our table after dinner.
I like that baby.

6:30 We left the restaurant and went to the grocery store to but some dessert.

7:30 Ate bit of oatmeal to get me through the night and then it was off to bed.

8:00 Bed Time. I had such a nice day and it was extra special with Grandma and Grandpa.
